Binding the Exhibition Experience: Catalogue Design

BACKGROUND

Vtape is a vibrant distribution organization that represents an international collection of contemporary and historical video art and media works by artists.

Established in 2002, the Curatorial Incubator has worked with more than 50 emerging curators to date; many of them have gone on to establish themselves in prominent curatorial, administrative, or artistic careers.

CHALLENGE

Using the curatorial copy provided, design publications to help inform visitors of Vtape about the Curatorial Incubator program exhibition at Vtape.

APPROACH

Leveraging the video stills from the works presented in the program, created thematic designs for each program that would complement the programming. I ensured the visual designs were legible, accessible to older demographics, and enhances the overall experience of engaging with the artworks.
